Lyrics

You’re not wasting time, you’re not wasting time
You’re writing what you know, seeing where it goes, giving it a try
Some say inspiration strikes out of the blue right into your life
But I know, anything good only happens with time

Hey, hey, hey, hey…..
Don’t be ashamed
You’re just doing something new
That’s never been done

You’re not wasting time, you’re not wasting time
A singer’s gotta sing, a painter’s gotta paint, a writer’s gotta write
Some say fame is permission for art, I say joy is the reason to start
And I know, anything good only happens with time

CHORUS

You’re not a loser
Don’t lose faith in what you’ve got
You’ve got imagination and that’s a lot

You’re not wasting time, you’re not wasting time
You’re putting in the work, shoveling the dirt, trying to get it right
Some say give up and do what’s been done, I say work at the thing that you love
And I know, anything good only happens with time

CHORUS X2
