Lyrics

O beautiful friend, we hold you near
Your days so brave, your flame so bright
Your light shines on inside our lives
We hold you near as your spirit flies

We are traveling home, we are traveling home
One by one we are traveling home
Across death’s river our friends have gone
And we are following one by one

As you cross over, you are not alone
Our love goes with you as you journey on
From where we came, we will return
Your spirit knows the mystery now

May peace embrace you, may love surround
May courage help you lay your burdens down
You lived your days with strength and heart
And we are stronger because you loved

We are traveling home, we are traveling home
One by one we are traveling home
Across death’s river our friends have gone
And we are following one by one
